Welcome to Worthing!

Well the UK move is done & we are in the new house. The day was not without it's challenges but they were not too major so it was not too bad but we were so glad to put our heads down.
Just a small word of advice, don't move house on both sides of the planet at the same time. Let's just say it's a leetle bit stressful!! We are still getting over it I think.
We have barely any furniture here but that will definitely be taken care of when our things land from Australia.
We have a whole shipping container o.O
OMG, no idea how that happened but we will deal with that when it comes. May need to do some serious culling but need to work out what is in the container first. Amazing how you forget what you own after 2 years of not seeing it.
We did need to get some furniture so I went hunting the car boots, charity shops & Brighton racecourse auction.

This 1930's cane table set me back a massive 25p!!
Bit of a rough drop leaf table for a fiver
Really ugly upholstery

But check out that timberwork!!! This is an Erkol chair, great score for 50 quid.

The kids just love having proper window ledges from which to view the world.
I can't tell you how much I love this town! I have been getting in the habit of going for a walk along the seafront into what I like to call "The Village". LOL

And there is no way I can forget my friends. This is the street behind ours. Heya Spotty!!

Loving what I do, especially where I am doing it.

Lush x

  1. Yay to finally being in the new house. So pleased that you survived. Your email won't let me reply again so that is why you haven't heard from me.

    1. We are really loving it, it feels so comfortable here. So far the people we have met have all been lovely. Early days I know but it's a great start.
I have no idea what is the go with the email?? I will send you one & see what happens??

  2. Glad you are getting settled in.
Pretty close to where I live too!

    1. It will be better when we have all our stuff back again but we are really loving it.
Where are you at?? I would love to have some at home catch ups. Wait till you see my sewing room - photos to come.

  3. Well that seems to have happened amazingly fast - didn't you only decide to move, like last week? I'm looking forward to following you around Worthing in the months ahead!
BTW I have the same email reply problem that Susan does!!

  4. After the initial interminable negotiations it has gone really quickly. We can't wait to get our stuff from Australia - feels funny living in an empty house LOL
Are you trying to email here or the hotmail address?? I have no idea why it is not working but will have a look at the settings in each.

  5. Thanks, spotty. Glad you are loving the south coast, but missing you here. Its been hitting 35 -38 degrees here with monotonour regularity. Even tho I miss you I'm glad you don't have to suffer this heat.

    1. Yeah and people wonder why I am here in the balmy 9 degrees heaven!! Still waiting for snow but think we may have to wait till after Xmas. I can wait :)
Miss you loads too, have a coffee van coming so money should start coming in the right direction soon then I can come visit :)

Sorry folks but too many spam comments lately so the word verification is going on for a little while. Once I am no longer "BIG" in Russia I will take it off.
