Well that was a waste of lipstick!!

Even though some days in some areas of my life I am super confident, like most people I am also very shy & it takes a lot for me to step out & introduce myself to new people.
I was delighted to discover a quilt group at my local community centre & tonight I finally girded my loins & wandered up the road to join in with the local quilt group.
Imagine my delight when from the street I spied a cutting ruler & mat & bags of fabric & obvious quilters.
Imagine my crumpled mood when I walked in & was told by one of the women "Oh no, there used to be a group here but they have moved to "blah" (suburb miles from me & I have no car). They are happy to take new members but we are a private group."

Crushed??? Hell yeah!!! Pouting much?? Defo!!!

Sod them. Gonna start my own group now. Big room, sea glimpses, I can make coffees & cook stuff. Anyone wanna join me?

Loving what I do, even if I have to do it alone. Going to eat worms. LOL

Lush x

  1. Aw! That sucks. Unfriendly bunch of 'we don't want to know them' quilters. Imagine that attitude! I'd have cried, but I am a total wuss like that. You start your own group and make sure you state friend,y people only - no bitches!

Will have to wait till my furniture arrives before I can have a group over. Only have enough chairs for me & one other so far LOL

  4. And they say quilters are friendly....pwhah...that lot certainly weren't. I think you're right to start your own group - you could even advertise on Flickr as I bet there must be nice FQR people in your area. I'd come if I lived a tad nearer!!

    1. This is the problem with imaginary friends, they are so scattered. Never mind, once I have furniture I will make my own group. You are always welcome :)

Sorry folks but too many spam comments lately so the word verification is going on for a little while. Once I am no longer "BIG" in Russia I will take it off.
